We started Gulmae because something was missing.

Rooted in ritual

Every body product smelled like a lab. Clean, but placeless. We wanted scent that felt like home - like ghee melting in a steel dabba, like wet earth after first rain in Kerala.

Gulmae is rooted in Indian kitchen rituals -- the ones our grandmothers did without calling it self-care. Malai on elbows. Oil in hair before wash. We formalized that slowness into a modern ritual system: handmade, small-batch, no fragrance, just attar.

If you smell sandalwood, it's because there is sandalwood. If it feels rich, it's because there is ghee.

We make in India, in batches of 300. Each pour temperature-checked. No story without substance.
